About / Disclaimer
My name is Nick. I’m the father of a really fun son (he was born in June of 2009) and the husband of an amazing (and very patient) woman. As of September 2011, I’m also the father of a beautiful little girl! I’ll let you in on a little secret. I really enjoy personal finance. I enjoy reading, writing and talking about personal finance. I believe in spending less than you make no matter where you live or how much you make. And I believe that everyone has the ability to achieve financial freedom in their lifetime. This blog is my personal finance story.
Take note that blog is about my personal finance thoughts only and some or all of what I type may not be right for you or your situation. The information on this site is not financial advice. I do not have a degree or certificate in finance or any topic related to finance. I am not a CPA, CFP, CFA, or any other finance-type professional.
This is simply a personal finance journal, written by a regular guy, that details my thoughts about investments, strategy, and analysis. Feel free to read this blog – but do so at your own risk (insert scary piano music here – bum buuum buuuuum!).

Oh yeah, one more thing: I often link to products or services on this website. When that happens chances are I get some sort of commission if you buy something through clicking from my website. I try to mention it every time, but in case I forget: I’m not getting rich over any of this. When I do, I’ll let you know (and then write a book about how I did it, so you can too…) But in the interest of full disclosure assume that anything you click on from this site is an affiliate link and I could get some financial benefit from it. But that won’t affect what I say in the blog. I promise. If I think a product or service is worthwhile I’ll post it. If I don’t, I won’t – no matter what my relationship is with the company. So don’t worry about me lying to sell you something I don’t actually like because I could make a buck or two. That’s not going to happen. If I don’t like something I may post it with a link as well and a message letting you know that I don’t like it.
Happy reading!
